Contractor Renotec will tackle the exterior of the Sint-Martinuskerk in Meeuwen. The work includes repairing the roofs, facades, exterior woodwork, and stained glass windows. The clock installation will also receive a full maintenance service.
Additionally, several new entrances will be created to make the building more flexible for future use or a new purpose, in line with the church plan.
The application for the environmental permit has been submitted. Once the permit is granted, the municipality and the contractor will establish the exact start date and schedule. The works are expected to begin in the spring of 2027.
During the works, the area around the church will become a construction site. The municipality and the church board will inform residents about practical arrangements, the schedule for services, and accessibility once the start date is known.
