The municipalities of Grobbendonk, Herentals, Herenthout, Olen, and Vorselaar are collaborating on a 'citizen helper' project, training volunteers to assist during emergency and crisis situations.

As part of the 'citizen helper' project, the five Neteland municipalities of Grobbendonk, Herentals, Herenthout, Olen, and Vorselaar are starting to train volunteers. These citizen helpers will be deployed to support the municipality and its residents during emergency or crisis situations.
The tasks of a citizen helper range from cleaning streets after a flood to assisting with evacuations and distributing materials and information. The project aims to make the community more resilient.
Interested individuals can obtain more information at one of the five info evenings organized in Neteland. During these evenings, the task package, deployment, training, and expectations for volunteers will be explained.
After the info evening, candidates can decide whether they wish to apply. Registration is required to attend an info evening, at least two days before the chosen date.
