The school's playground has undergone a significant transformation in recent months. Where approximately 70% of the surface was previously paved, only 30% remains hardscaped. A total of 5,775 tiles have been replaced with a green, adventurous, and natural play environment.
The renovated playground includes play hills, swales, new play elements, a wheeled course, a reading wagon, an amphitheater, a vegetable garden, and ample space for discovery, play, and relaxation. Furthermore, in collaboration with WZC Heilig Hart Nijlen, the school has also focused on fostering connections between young and old.
The school is encouraging public support to win this esteemed title. Voting is open until Tuesday, November 10th via the website https://vk-tegelwippen.be/wipper-van-het-jaar-2026/. They urge everyone to encourage family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances to cast their vote as well.
