Through this test, the municipality aims to practice internal alerting procedures and make residents aware of the importance of being immediately informed during an emergency. For residents who have not yet registered, this test offers a valuable opportunity to do so on the website www.be-alert.be.
BE-Alert is an alerting system that allows citizens to be notified in case of an emergency. It enables a mayor, governor, or the Minister of Internal Affairs to send messages to anyone who might be affected by an emergency situation, allowing for quick recommendations, such as closing doors and windows during a fire.
To receive a test message, registration is required at www.be-alert.be. The registration form should be completed as fully as possible. The test will take place on Thursday.
It is important to maintain your BE-Alert profile properly. Users can add, modify, or delete their personal data at any time. Furthermore, up to five addresses can be registered, including your workplace and other important addresses like those of family members, in addition to your home address.
