Following last year's successful first edition, Boekado returns to VTC de Mixx on Sunday, October 4th. Visitors can browse books from over 130 authors and have their purchased copies personally signed. Among those attending are Anne-Marie Hooyberghs, Anja Feliers, Alexander Colin, Marc de Bel, Guy Didelez, Rudy Morren, Jan Van den Bosch, and comic artist Tom Huybrechts.
Marc de Bel will discuss his books and his beginnings as an indie author, followed by a book signing. Guy Didelez will share a short anecdote from his book ‘Gevangen in het poolijs’.
There will also be plenty for children, with storytelling and craft sessions in collaboration with the library, bouncy castles, and face painting. Additionally, the various Boekado Awards will be presented.
The library of Herselt will be open continuously from 1 PM to 6 PM that afternoon, where visitors can explore the collection.
The book fair takes place on Sunday, October 4th, from 11 AM to 6 PM at VTC de Mixx - Asbroek 1, 2230 Herselt. Ticket prices vary: advance purchase costs 7 euros for adults and 3.5 euros for individuals aged 12 to 18, with free entry for children under 12. At the door, adults pay 9 euros and those aged 12 to 18 pay 4 euros, with free entry for children under 12.
