Four times a year, the library's book club meets to discuss books. For the next session, "Een revolverschot" by Virginie Loveling will be in the spotlight. This work is a twentieth-century classic that was included in the Canon of Dutch Literature last year.
A reissued edition of this well-known work is available, modernized and with an afterword by Annelies Verbeke, who calls the book "a universal book about the pain of being ignored".
The in-depth discussion of the story will take place on Wednesday, December 9th, at 7:30 PM. Participation is free, and pre-registration is not required. Sufficient copies of the book will be available at the library beforehand for those who wish to borrow and read it.
