Professor David Criekemans, head of International Politics at the University of Antwerp and lecturer at the Universities of Utrecht and Geneva, will give a lecture on November 24, 2026, at 8 PM in the Beethovenzaal. The lecture will take place on the first floor of the library.
Criekemans, who holds a doctorate in political sciences, is known for his analyses of significant world events. His recent essay, ‘Hyperrealisme. Europa in een nieuw geopolitiek tijdperk’ (Hyperrealism. Europe in a New Geopolitical Era), examines the rapidly changing global dynamics and their impact on Europe, including ongoing wars and the influence of Trump as president.
During the lecture, he will provide a clear overview of current global relations, collaborations, challenges, and obstacles. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.
